Rustic Pottery (c. 1970s)

This thickly glazed pitcher is from Louisville Stoneware. I believe the pattern was originally called "Harvest" in the 1960s but was later changed to "Pear." It has a rich dark green and brown design of a grape vine and grape cluster, with one orange pear in the top center; there are green bands around the rim and on the handle.

The pitcher measures 5-3/8 inches high at the rim, almost 8 inches from spout tip to handle edge, and 4 inches wide across the foot ring. The pitcher is in excellent condition, with no signs of use or wear. It even has an original store paper label on the bottom (for PettyMark).

The bottom has the blue mark for "Louisville Stoneware | Made in Kentucky." I believe this may be an older mark, since I think later pieces included USA or Made in USA. less
