The alluring beauty … more A Stunning and Dramatic set of Four High-Back Scrolled Wrought Iron Italian Renaissance Chairs by Arthur Umanoff. The alluring beauty of this set originates not only from the exquisite Mediterranean scroll designs Umanoff is recognized for, but also the fact that these chairs were completely and totally refurbished by some the finest professional craftsman and artisans in the industry. The sand blasting and painting, which resulted in the gorgeous antique bronze hue throughout the stature of their iron bodies, is, quite frankly astonishing! The seat cushions were custom made and upholstered are brand new, and original to the restoration quest of these chairs. The upholstery is simply gorgeous and was chosen by Artist Joanne Loesch, who is regionally renown for restoration and art projects produced from finely refurbished metals, all procured from her own private collections of forgone and mostly forgotten metal, where she has reimagined their identities. As such, Ms. Loesch has created amazing metal art installations and has acquired a quite reputable name for her work in the restoration of iron metal furniture. The fabric Ms. Loesch chose to use in this project could not possibly be more perfect. There is a very sheen essence to the fabric, which has a baseline color of yellow-green. There is a sheer stripe that undectably runs throughout the surface of the print, accompanied by gorgeous magenta peonies, olive colored leaves and ever so specially, Loesch individually selected various parts of the fabric to include on each seat covering a very subtle, but simply gorgeous insect that blends in marvelously with the design in the fabric. This includes 2 butterflies, 1 caterpillar and 1 lizard, all adding an extremely delicate and special touch to these spectacular chairs. In addition to their awe-inspiring appearance, these four chairs are also very comfortable and perfect for enjoying an amazing meal with those you love, perhaps in a garden room, 3 season room, or sun porch. Whichever the case is, these gorgeous mid-century chairs are truly an inspiration where dreams meet practicality and perfection. less
