Crafted in France circa 1930 and built of mahogany wood with marquetry and inlay decor throughout, the rectangular table stands on tapered legs ending with bronze sabots feet over a straight apron dressed with a single side drawer; opening the drawer, it reveals a backgammon game, chips, and other goodies. The table top built with parquetry lifts up and turns to reveal a larger surface upholstered with green velvet and secured with a brass band around the perimeter. The Louis XVI style game table is in very good condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. Practical and versatile, the table could also be used as a side or occasional table. A little damage to the felt (see detailed images).
