I have noted in one photo, a discoloration at the bottle’s neck and there is fading of the gold trim. Also, the hand made element is apparent as the fluted, cup-shaped stopper is sitting at a slight angle. The stopper’s base and inside neck of the bottle are ground nicely as is the Pontil mark on the base of the bottle. Please see all photos for more detail on condition of this piece. less

It has an elaborately hand painted design on the … more This is a vintage/antique, hand blown Bristol glass decanter and stopper. It has an elaborately hand painted design on the front, depicting sprays of leaves and flowers including Japanese Maple with a colorful bird perched in the center; a single spray on the back. Gold accents and gold trim complete the motif. It is in very good to excellent pre owned condition with some manufacturing imperfections and time worn flaws. There are no chips, cracks or repairs evident. I have noted in one photo, a discoloration at the bottle’s neck and there is fading of the gold trim. Also, the hand made element is apparent as the fluted, cup-shaped stopper is sitting at a slight angle. The stopper’s base and inside neck of the bottle are ground nicely as is the Pontil mark on the base of the bottle. Please see all photos for more detail on condition of this piece. It is unsigned, but does have a hand painted number on the base.
