So pleased to share with you this gorgeous early 20th century Chinese butterfly and peony watercolor painting on silk is signed by the artist in the upper left-hand corner.
In Chinese culture, the peony is meant to symbolize female beauty, status, wealth, and even love.
Bordered by a traditional jacquard light cream brocade silk, framed in a gold tinted frame (had to have been reframed at some point) this painting arrives ready to hang.
