This marvelous master salt cellar is created in gorgeous sterling silver in the classical George III design with pierced design … Read more This marvelous master salt cellar is created in gorgeous sterling silver in the classical George III design with pierced design of embellished ovals alternating with ribbons, a center cartouche and small turned feet. There is an oval cobalt blue glass liner. This lovely cellar was made by Henry Chawner, a London silversmith in production from 1786-1796. Hallmarks are: HC=Henry Chawner. Rampant Lion=English sterling, Leopard head=London, Date year P=1790, Regent profile=assay mark. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Length=3-1/2 inches, Width from side to side=2 inches, Depth top to bottom=2 inches. This marvelous master salt cellar has been well cared for, gently used and is in excellent antique condition, free from scratching, dents, damage or repairs. It is the perfect addition to your silver serving collection, particularly if you like the George III style! See less
