Shoreline shelf story:
The sea is deep, dark and powerful, and the waves crash over land incessantly. When the water hits a rock, it does not stop but just continues to flow around it. The movements of water are liquid and flowing, while at the same time possessing an enormous and invisible potential. The shelves are capturing snapshots of the flowing movements of the water and the life within it. Made in mirror polished steel. Locally produced in Scania, South of Sweden. The designer bends the shelf by hand and sands the corner carefully. All shelfs have a number and are signed by the designer. The shelfs are products developed by the designer. The first editions were exhibited in a Solo show called Magic waters during 2022. Where all items developed had inspiration from the sea and its surroundings. Mainly from the surroundings where the designer grew up herself by a sea village called Vilshärad in Sweden. If you are interested in the context as a whole, you can find all items and full story of the Magic waters exhibition at the designers web page.
The shelves are produced in mirrored steel. A surface that easily gets scratched, so handle with care. There might be minor surface scratches from when the designer bends the flat surface into a shelf and goes over with sand paper on the corners.
