Description: Offered here is a neat and somewhat unusual Carnival Gaming Wheel on stand, with hand painted numbers on one side … more Offered here is a neat and somewhat unusual Carnival Gaming Wheel on stand, with hand painted numbers on one side and names of all 50 states on the other; dating this wheel to after 1959 when the “Really great 48” became the “Nifty 50,” Alaska on Jan. 3rd and Hawaii on August 21st. The wheel measures 25 inches in diameter and sits on a newly made stand of quarter inch steel surrounded by an irregular hexagon wood base with felt bottom. (When we saved this beauty from definite destruction, it had no stand.) Wheel can be reversed by removing center nut that holds wheel in place. Height of wheel on stand measures 27 ½ inches high. All metal pegs are intact except for one on state side and there is no clicker. Wheel is solid with no cracks. It is in what I consider good age-related condition with age-related wear; all wonderful characteristic signs of once providing much fun at an old-time carnival. “Sure, do miss those days…and the stuffed animals.” less
