The cover has a red … Read more Chinese porcelain lotus pond meiping, with a white glazed cover, exterior, interior and inset base. The cover has a red finial and is decorated with embossed, black with gold highlights, Mandarin ducks amid embossed leaves, bud branches and tadpoles, ending in gold double trim lines at the rim. The interior of the cover is unglazed. The cover art is repeated around the neck of the vase, ending in double gold trim circles with a band of embossed, black and gold Ru Yi lappets below. The body of the vase is embossed in Mandarin ducks swimming around lotus pads, buds and flowers amid the repeating accents of leaves, tadpoles and bud branches. A band of large, embossed, Ru Yi lappets encircles the foot, ending in double gold trim lines. A gold, six character Chenghua reign mark is glazed to the inset base. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century. See less
