Absolutely stunning Aubusson or Savonnerie style hand knotted wool on this bedspread, wall, or floor covering. It is in amazing condition and so charming with little bees and butterflies on flowers with classic French borders.
This is a beautiful Cream, Pink, Gold, Green, Multi Color Hand Woven French Needlepoint Wool Tapestry with reinforced borders. It's elegant style is easy to decorate with and perfect for living room, dining room, bed room or anywhere in the residence or office.
This Aubusson is 100% wool in thin pile. Rugs and tapestries were made famous during 14th and 15th century and were made in Aubusson, a small medieval town in France. The rugs have motifs in traditional design. During 1930s tapestry was made popular by artists such as Cocteau, Dufy, Dali, Braque, Calder and Picasso who were invited to Aubusson to express themselves through the medium of wool.
