The overall warm tones of the paintwork are accentuated by the hand-painted top with various subdued shades of green. The pieces have curved legs and has the artwork on front and both sides.
The bottom drawer bears a signature, artist unknown.

This pair of Hand-Painted Neoclassical Style Venetian Commodes or Chest of Drawers have been hand-crafted with an attention to details with stunning decoration somewhat in the manner of Renaissance artist Raphael Sanzio. Dogs, birds, or other creatures, cornucopia, urns, foliage and much more.

Wonderful examples of hand-painted Neoclassical Venetian Chest of Drawers of the 18th and 19th Centuries from the top to the 3 generously sized drawers all raised on cabriole legs. The chests have scalloped edges and further accentuated aprons.
