Hindu altar in bronze, probably late 19th century, of Shiva, the God of Destruction (he destroys evil, ignorance & death) in the foreground seated on a peacock & encircled by feathers. Behind & above is his son Ganesh with seven cobras. Combine oil lamp reservoir & large censer. Lacking a censer cover.
