The richness and … Read more Superb large yellow and blue hand-blown incalmo glass vase by the internationally acclaimed American artist Sonja Blomdahl. The richness and beauty of the colors need to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. The vessel is signed and dated on the bottom. The artist's incalmo or double-bubble technique was perfected when Sonja studied with the Venetian Murano glass master Checco Ongaro. She received a MFA degree from the Massachusetts College of Art and studied at the Orrefors factory in Sweden. Her work is highly sought after and in numerous museums including the New York Museum of Contemporary Art & Design and The Smithsonian. See less
