Description: Rare vase in blue cobalt glass from Fratelli Toso.
The finish of the vase is with Avventurina speckling fused over … more Rare vase in blue cobalt glass from Fratelli Toso.
The finish of the vase is with Avventurina speckling fused over the glass (Tociato in Muranese) to resemble Lapis Lazuli gemstone. Over that the vase has beautiful peach flower murrinas made by Fratelli Toso.
Vase has the punti rod attachment visible on the lower part and the morise shoulder at the base.
Both handles are missing the lower protrusion. It's not clear if it's part of the design or if they were lost during the long life of this vase.
A great design from the past of an unique maker who made the history of glass. less
