Description: Gorgeous, antique, Old Sheffield Plate, tea urn/coffee with lion head/ door knocker style embellishments circa late 1700s early 1800s. The … more Gorgeous, antique, Old Sheffield Plate, tea urn/coffee with lion head/ door knocker style embellishments circa late 1700s early 1800s. The urn is globe shaped on a semi-square based stand with Neoclassical figural lion face and ring handles. The inside is tinned. Please use the zoom feature to look at all the decorative features--especially the lion handles! It's missing the spigot insert handle, which can be replaced. This tea urn is in beautiful condition, especially for its age and use, with just a little base copper peaking through on some raised areas. The last picture shows a trio of similar pieces in an Old Sheffield plate book. Beautiful piece!
