Description: A charming continental Art Deco oak window bench (circa 1930); 34 " wide x 19 3/4" x 25" high overall … more A charming continental Art Deco oak window bench (circa 1930); 34 " wide x 19 3/4" x 25" high overall x ; the seat height is 10". One side of the bench is decorated with deep relief carvings of tassels and a central floral motif as well as relief foliate design carvings on the legs; on the other side of the bench these details are copied but with an incised technique only (not the deep relief carving described earlier; see photo details.). The bench is newly upholstered in a leopard patterned velvet and features antiqued brass nailhead trim. Because of the low seat height this bench is not necessarily ideal for seating (unless for a curled-up dog or cat!), but its distinctive shape and velvet fabric make it a stunning addition to any room. less
