Hand-woven from rattan in an intricate herringbone pattern, the vintage basket backpack has hand-carved wooden supports at the base and the top as well as a handmade cord.

This type of rustic traditional basket was used to carry belongings while trekking the steep mountains paths of the Cordillera region.

A very old basket, the woven bag shows wear consistent with its age including some chipping to the wooden base and wear to the weave on the rim of the bottom portion of the backpack.

The decorative antique basket could be used to conceal lightweight items in your living space.
