Offered for sale is a large early 20th-century Chinese rattan and wood chest with a removable lid. The chest is constructed in wood and clad with woven rattan that has achieved a rich patina from age and use. The chest can be used for storage possibly at the foot of a bed or as an interesting coffee table. This is a rustic piece clad with woven rattan over wood construction. It has a rectangular removable lid and when opened reveals a partitioned interior. Its construction has a scalloped wood base with lashed cross-wrapping accents to the base corners.
