This work is very representative of Mr. Littlefield's move to abstract expressionism later in his life. The piece is dated April, 1968, which is 15 months prior to his passing. The artist's work has been collected and curated by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Harvard Arts Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and the Cape Cod Museum of Art.
