Nick and Nora Charles would have kept highball glasses and cocktail mixing paraphernalia in this 1930s cabinet. Superbly handcrafted in flame mahogany by the Swedish immigrants of Alliance Furniture in Jamestown, New York, and retailed by the famed John Wanamaker store in Manhattan, 1930s. This cabinet was acquired in a matching set. The dining table and chairs are also offered for sale in my collection. For reference, the Alliance Furniture label here is from the table.
Jamestown, New York, once claimed the title as "The Furniture Capital of the World." Furniture made in Jamestown is indeed as fine as best of Grand Rapids in its heyday.
