The elegant paste … more This marvelous Victorian style antique paste pot is created in gorgeous sterling silver and brilliant cut crystal. The elegant paste pot has a beautiful feather like scrolled design on the lid with was made by John Bettridge of Birmingham in 1830. There is a sterling protective rim around the inner edge of the crystal opening. The crystal base has a ring of finely cut scores with larger scores on the lower portion of the pot. Hallmarks are: IB=John Bettridge silversmith, Anchor=Birmingham, scroll style m=1830, Passant Lion=English sterling. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Height from top to bottom=3-1/4 inches, Diameter at widest=1-3/4 inches. This marvelous sterling silver and crystal paste pot has been well cared for, gently used and is in excellent antique condition. The silver and crystal is free from chips, cracks, damage or repairs. There is some light scratching on the bottom of the pot. The lid is missing its brush, but there are still a few of the original bristles tucked into the brush well.
