OMG what a killer piece! This lamp is the epitome of the 1970s/1980s Modern / Contemporary design! Taking after characteristics of Maison Jansens designs from the same era, this lamp has so much sophistication and a nod to modern movement its amazing! The brightly polished chrome columns are accented by wider, gold tone rings giving the lamp a faux bamboo ish look. The original lampshade was in poor condition so it has been retired, but honestly you could pair any bold color shade with this lamp for a bright pop, or keep it sleek and clean by going with all white or black.
Solid iron, heavy base beneath the chrome base cover, so lamp is very sturdy and stable.
Lamp works amazingly as it has just been completely re-wired with all new nickel-finish hardware and harp and a clear/silver cord.

CONDITION NOTES: This lamp is in good condition, consistent with age, use and materials of construction. The chrome has been polished beautifully and shows few flaws. On the base, there is a small dent as well as some light scratches in the surface (see photos for images of both ). The lowest chrome section (the one coming up from the base) has some discoloration in one spot at the top of the column where it meets the first gold ring on the lamp The gold toned rings are made of plastic and appear to have been painted to be mirror-finish in production, so some of those have signs of wear (the top and bottom most rings in particular; see pictures for details). Overall however, the lamp really looks great! The lamp has also just been completely rewired with a clear/silver cord, new socket and electric parts as well as a 12" nickel-finish harp to match the lamp. See pictures of the lamp while powered on with its fresh new electrics! Woohoo!
