during the university years spent between Palermo and Rome. After the initial approach
to photography, self-taught, through the "self-portrait", he devoted himself to a major
experimentation, linked to the most unusual and uncontaminated aspects of Sicilian nature
and develops a personal language that allows her to express her own vision of
things through the camera. His research focuses on women and women
communication between bodies and landscapes. The constant intent is to create
dreamlike images suspended in time.
CARLA SUTERA SARDO (Agrigento, 1983) si è avvicinata alla fotografia per passione
durante gli anni universitari trascorsi tra Palermo e Roma. Dopo l’approccio iniziale
alla fotografia ,da autodidatta, attraverso il“self-portrait”, si dedica a una maggiore
sperimentazione, legata agli aspetti più insoliti e incontaminati della natura siciliana
e matura un linguaggio personale che le consente di esprimere la propria visione delle
cose attraverso la macchina fotografica. La sua ricerca si concentra sulla donna e sulla
comunicazione tra corpi e paesaggi. L’intento costante è quello di creare delle
immagini oniriche ,sospese nel tempo.
Le sue fotografie sono state pubblicate da riviste come L'oeil de la Photographie e
Vogue Italia e hanno ricevuto riconoscimenti tra cui il Sony World Photography
Awards, i Siena Photography Awards e il Prix del la Photographie.
Carla Sutera Sardo ha esposto a Londra, Torino, Firenze, Palermo, Zhengzhou
,Gibellina , Parigi e Slovenia. less
