Monochromatic watercolor on Yupo paper, signed and framed in recycled metal frame. Sometimes a painting will suggest what it means to be. This one suggested a marshy area such as I have seen in Florida.
About the artist:
Nancy Smith studied art at Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, Olivet Nazarene University, and post graduate with world renowned artist, Estelle Fedelle, who is best known for her how-to books published by Walter Foster Publications. At Quest Academy, Nancy taught art to gifted children and volunteered in the art studio at Little City Foundation, a community of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Nancy’s art has been featured in shows and galleries in the Chicagoland area, Michigan, and has found its way into hundreds of collections worldwide. She has written and illustrated two picture books to date, A Turtle on Sunday and The Fisherman.
