A bottle form vase with … Read more Finely potted Chinese Guan ware porcelain vase in the style of the Southern Song Dynasty. A bottle form vase with lobed sides. The octagonal lower body and neck raised on a short ring foot base. Rendered in a brown underglaze showing through the distinctive crackle with a contrasting blue-green Guan glaze. The unglazed edge cut foot rim is an iron brown. The vase is very fine with a few spotted firing marks, no defects. Tiny bubbles are seen in the glaze at 30x magnification.
