This is a hard to find item at this large size. This copper plate engraved/etched by El Shami depicts The Fountain of Toosoon Pacha. which is located in Cairo. This particular image originally appeared in the folio of lithographs Illustrations of Cairo by Robert Hay, Esq., of Linplum; drawn on stone by J.C. Bourne, under the superintendence of Owen B. Carter, architect. The work was printed by Moyes and Barclay in London in 1840 and published by Tilt & Bogue. Robert Hay (1799-1863) was one of the pioneers of Egyptology. The copper panel is 34" wide, 22.25" high and 14 lb in weight.
