Antique 1800s Louis XV-style carved wingback or bergère armchair.
The chair was fully restored using traditional upholstery methods in new Scalamandre cream-colored Padua silk. Removable goose down cushion. Gold leaf finish on the wooden frame has worn out from time and was touched up with the restorer's gold wax.
Decor notes: these chairs are rather petite; they are suitable for a small apartment decoration. The fabric is soft cream color, not pure white, and so these chairs look best against a dark background.
