Mother Nature's Garden is part of the artist's long-running series which celebrates the continual. process of growth, decay and rebirth. The artist is an avid gardener and hiker, and loves the outdoors, having moved west from Illinois to enjoy the topography and climate of first Colorado and then California. This acrylic painting is on gallery wrapped canvas. It is initialed on the front and signed on the back, and has a UV protective varnish. It is in a black wood floater frame with a narrow gold front edge, which is wired and ready to hang.
Laurie MacMillan has enjoyed numerous awards and solo exhibitions, and has had pieces selected for over a hundred juried group shows. Her work is held in personal and business collections across the U.S., and in Canada and England. less
