Description: Stunning elephant made by Polish Sculptor Frank Meisler born 1925 and died 2018, the sculptor lived most of his life … more Stunning elephant made by Polish Sculptor Frank Meisler born 1925 and died 2018, the sculptor lived most of his life in Israel.

During his lifetime the sculptor received numerous awards, the Czech Academy of Art awarded Meisler the "Franz Kafka Gold Medal" in 1999.

In 2002 he was named an honorary academician by both the Russian Academy of Arts and the Ukrainian Academy of Arts .

Cross of the Order of Merit in 2012 in recognition of his services to Jewish-German and German-Israeli relations.

He was awarded the City of London Freedom Honorary Award and dined at Prince Charles' table.

The sculpture in question depicts an elephant made with great skill and likeness.

The elephant is made of a metal alloy with silver and gold-plated parts.

The animal's head and ears are jointed i.e., they can be moved and positioned as desired.

The base, which is removable, is made of black granite.

This elephant is part of a numbered series, of which it is specimen No. 121 out of 980.

It bears the author's signature on the right ear. This piece has an attribution mark,
