"The Cheats" is a finely detailed, vividly colored, large porcelain scene depicting 3 boys playing cards while a 4th boy looks on. Beneath the table, the boy on the right has a shoe removed and with his toes is passing a seven of diamonds card to the boy on the left, who is reaching for it, while a basset hound looks on next to a pile of schoolbooks. Porcelain sits on a wooden base with a brass plaque reading "BY Cortese". Signed by Cortese, numbered 330 and hallmarked, “Capodimonte Made in Italy (with a crown symbol over an "N") Measures: 20” wide by 15" deep by 11.5” tall. Weighs 15.5 lbs. less
