19th Century French Barbotine Majolica Cache Pot, Victorian "Sanded" Majolica Footed Jardiniere Vase. This stunning sculptural three footed Jardiniere features a confetti style "sand" finish with sculpted stylized flowers and leaves glazed in rich colors.
It has a few small chips (see photos) but they are not very noticeable due to the complexity of the design. Some wear of glaze in some areas. Still a stunning unique work of art. Tin glazed, “sand majolica” sometimes known as “confetti”. Has makers marks on underside that could be attributed to Joseph Fouque/Jean-Francois Pelloquin but possibly to Minton. Circa 1880’s. See photos for most accurate description of condition.
It measures 9.5” Tall by 10” diameter/wide/deep, the top opening is 5.5” in diameter. less
