Thus is a crazy quilt top. The pattern is named crazy as it is a mish-mash, anything goes! The fabric strips have been appliquéd onto a white fabric backing. There are two layers of fabric offering a heavier and also stronger lap quilt.
Multi-colors offer an easy to use throw. The crazy patchwork pattern lends perfectly to daily use and not being afraid that it is too nice to use!
Approximately measures 70 long x 69 wide. Lap or throw sized. Additional border can be added to size to bed as desired.
This quilt top along with several others being offered were made by a lovely woman who went by the nickname ‘Doc’ living up to age 93. While she dabbled in painting and pottery the bulk of her art was quilting. She flourished in producing wonderfully unique color combinations and patterns. The textiles used in mid-20th century are now vintage offering the opportunity to turn these beauties into a completed quilt for use or display.
