- These chairs are in great shape and the upholstery shows very little if any wear. BUT, the cushions have a … moreThese chairs are in great shape and the upholstery shows very little if any wear. BUT, the cushions have a reddish tint to them "as if" they are stained or sun struck. Neither is the case. It is on both sides of the cushions. We don't know what caused this, unless it was a reaction to the fabric protectant over time, or a reaction to its backing. Now that you know this, go back to the photos and you can see it. The upholstery is in such good condition that it will last several years as is, but if it bothers you, you can have just the cushions recovered with a complementary material. less
