This Helen Frankenthaler rare vintage 1988 Abstract Expressionist offset lithograph print " High Spirits " Sweden exhibition poster is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
Published by Painter Posters, Stockholm for an exhibition at The Heland Wetterling Gallery. Printed in Sweden in 1988 in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the exhibition. It features an Abstract Expressionist artwork titled " High Spirits ", copyright 1988 Heland Wetterling Gallery / Helen Frankenthaler.
Helen Frankenthaler ( 1928 - 2011 ) is an American Abstract Expressionist painter of a liberal Jewish background, and is a major contributor to the history of Postwar Modernist painting. She exhibited her work for over six decades, spanning several generations of Abstract painters while continuing to produce vital and ever changing new art works.
Her work has been the subject of several retrospective exhibitions including The Museum of Modern Art New York, The Whitney Museum, The Jewish Museum, and The Los Angeles County Museum of Art. She has been exhibited worldwide since the 1950's, and was awarded The National Medal of the Arts in 2001. Her artworks are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print exhibition poster measures 19 1/2" W X 13" H. It is printed on smooth finish premium paper stock with vibrant ink colors in a satin eggshell finish.
