- There was only one piece of molding that was damaged on the left leg at the bottom which you can … moreThere was only one piece of molding that was damaged on the left leg at the bottom which you can have repaired, there are also some scuffs and nicks in some of the resin, and one big chip on the mantle in the front, which I added a photo of. The whole fireplace goes together in pieces so on the front side, you can see where the legs meet the center of the fireplace, but once installed, you won't be able to see that. It looks as though there are six drill holes on top of the mantle where someone tried to add some thing on top, but nothing major. less

This home was built and designed by real estate developer in the 2000's and is still one of the most iconic homes of the time. The home was featured as America's most expensive home in 2010 and was featured in harpers bazaar, architectural digest, and the Wall Street journal among so many others. Listed at a whopping $85 million dollars, the home featured nothing but the best quality pieces that money can buy. This particular fireplace surround was located in the study room of the estate and was set between two very tall bookcases that had secret rooms behind them. It was very crafty the way the whole home was designed. Mohamed actually painted a majority of the paintings in the home and so it is very possible that this one was one of those personal ones. Can't be sure as there is no signature. The painting features some type of Roman scene of nobleman or philosophers in a landscape setting. The entirety of this fireplace is made of wood with resin details. I do not believe that the intricate filigree is wood. However, this is some of the best artistry we have seen done with resin. The Lions are incredible and make the piece look very important. At the end of the listing, I added a photo of it while it was still in the home. If you purchase this fireplace, there is a possibility that you may also get the green marble base that this Fireplace it's upon. We have these put away in storage. This item is new, made custom for the home just a few years ago. Not sure of the true maker or designer of this fireplace, but it is marvelous. less
