Portuguese Cast Brass Lantern. Mid 20th Century nicely cast brass with original patina highlighting the Italianate design. Solid Brass. A domed top with castings of a bearded man with a trumpet. Three columnar putti holding stalks “lift” the top dome. The bottom has an open decorative ring, finished with an ornamental bottom finial. Matching canopy and chain. The original finish has been cleaned and is in very good condition. Rewired with ground. Single Edison socket, 60 watt max. Includes crystal bulb wrap to diffuse the light. Portugal, C. 1950.
