This exceptional French 19th century Empire mahogany dressing table is complete with its original mercury glass mirror and charcoal and white marble top. The arched mirror displays some deterioration and is framed in a way that beautifully showcases the wood grain. It is supported by columns that are adorned with the bust and feet of a Greco-Roman style female. The apron houses a single lockable drawer with a decorative urn form escutcheon- one key is included. Within the drawer, 5 pre-sectioned spaces provide wonderful organization. Like the mirror supports, the front legs are embellished with ormolu in the figure of a woman, the quintessence of Empire style. A concave shaped lower shelf balances the whole nicely and is comfortable to sit at. Make sure to view the detailed images to get a closer look.
