Vintage; C.1900-1940, Parson's, antique wooden turned mahogany nut bowl with attached, anvil forged copper center, or nut cracking device, one only need a mallet, while underneath has original green felted base bottom. This is a perfect bowl filled with an array of nuts, which presents well on a snack table, in a family room, near a fire, or whatever occasion, that is a cocoon of casualness, with this aged, turned bowl, reflective of an era and time, where people took the time, in a setting to gather together and partake in eating walnuts, pecans, etc. in front of a roaring fire, with cheese and crackers, and the likes of eating nuts. The parsons engraved namesake, is engraved on the copper portion, while there is an engraved, Patent June 1874, upon the wood, in the concave section near the edging of base of copper.

In excellent condition for era, with normal use and wear, age indicative to time, and products manufactured period. Some minor wear to copper, but the patina is still in tact. less
