Description: Delft Blue porcelain pottery, hand-painted piggy bank is in beautiful condition. It is painted in traditional Delft patterns of blue … more Delft Blue porcelain pottery, hand-painted piggy bank is in beautiful condition. It is painted in traditional Delft patterns of blue brushstrokes, with a white crackle underglaze. There is a slit on the top near the tail to insert coins and a strong, removable , unseen plastic cap under his belly to remove coins. It stands off the ground on 4 fat little legs. It's decorated with two beautiful blue flowers and blue flourishes. The original sticker is still attached. This piggy face is prettier than many seen online these days!
The piggybank measures 5 1/2 inches from snout to tail, 3 1/2 inches across, and 3 1/2 inches high.
It's a lovely item, very vintage from a trip to Holland in the 1970's, and used briefly. less
