Pair of antique English porcelain plates.
England, circa 1890.
This is a PRETTY and ANTIQUE PAIR of English porcelain cabinet plates.
ALL hand painted, depicting mountains, sailing boats, castle and river.
Gold gilding edges.
Blue turquoise color.
Both are stamped ( impressed ) mark MINTON, and year cypher ( see photo )
Minton was one of the pioneers in English china.
One is numbered in red ( 6547 ) and letter B, the second one is numbered in blue and red ( 6547 ).
This turquoise blue color, was very fashionable during the Victorian era , it was called “ Minton blue “.
