This mid 19th Century French Bijouterie Vitrine mahogany jewel display case was hand-crafted during the Second French Empire (1848-1872) and … Read more This mid 19th Century French Bijouterie Vitrine mahogany jewel display case was hand-crafted during the Second French Empire (1848-1872) and features a quatrefoil shaped raised gallery with marquetry inlaid tulipwood and classical ornate gilt bronze ormolu accents, fitted with a removable wood frame glass top tray for viewing and finished with a gilt double bead molding with brass handles and red satin button tufted upholstered interior with generous padding, rising on curved serpentine legs with gilt bronze ormolu accents and joined by double medial shelves. Made in France. Circa 1850s.
