This beautiful antique trumeau mirror has been previously owned and loved, and shows some wear consistent with this prior use. There are areas of chipping and age appropriate wear on the frame, especially around the edges and corners that has happened over time. The gilt patina has different grades of coloration and there is some silvering on mirror that is age appropriate. There are small pieces of the wooden frame that are missing. Close up photos were taken of them. Please take a look. There are indentations in the canvas and age appropriate craquelure. There are old repairs to areas of the frame. Elegantly perched birds surround two men in this lush scene. This iconic French Trumeau form features an Asian painting where nature is in full bloom. Each detail, such as the expression on the man's face and body language tell a complete story. Both the painting and mirror have a gilt frame and the entire piece is surrounded by a darker frame.
