This is an original illustration (plate n. 29) published in the VIII year. From a suite of 52 plates titled''Modes et Manières du Jour à Paris à la fin du 18e siècle et au commencement du 19e siècle''. On the top the inscription: Modes &c. N° 29.'' ; ''Flor. An 8'' ; under the engraved image ''Que lui conte-t-il ? / (Chapeau en Coquille\.\. Large Pantalon de Nankin.)''. Describing the women’s fashion of the time, our specimen is in excellent condition and with vivid colors, except for a light foxing and a usual yellowing of the paper at the edge. Including a cardboard passepartout (cm 25 x 19). One copy is preserved at the Musée Carnavalet, Histoire de Paris. less
