His first exhibition took place in Milan in 1978. In 1981, he participated in the Venice Biennale. From that moment, several exhibitions of his works were organized all over the world, from New York to Paris to Tokyo, and he was invited several times to the most prestigious international Biennials, such as Sao Paulo in Brazil, Sidney or Paris. In 1990, he was again present at the Venice Biennale. In 2003, a traveling exhibition was dedicated to him, hosted in several museums.
