Original Etching on paper. Signed and dated on plate on the lower left corner: Sir Francis Seymour Haden 1867. Passepartout included (26 x 36 cm). Image Dimensions: 14 x 21 cm Mint conditions. Beautiful and refined etching depicting a natural landscape with trees and mountains in the distance. In the foreground we find a lawn surrounded by low trees. This work has been realied by Sir Francis Seymour Haden (1818 - 1910), he was an English surgeon, best known as an original etcher who championed original printmaking. He was at the heart of the Etching Revival in Britain, and one of the founders of the Society of Painter-Etchers, now the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, as its first president. He was also a collector and scholar of Rembrandt's prints. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
