On the whole, the shining white porcelain and chrome towel bars and legs make for a fine looking piece. We don't just go with the superficial in describing what we sell, so this is a detailed, top to bottom picture of what we found. The porcelain on the top, rear horizontal section is fine, save for a few light scratches and a tiny (approximately .04") chip near the center. The two vertical end pieces and the surface where the faucet resides, down to the bottom of the bowl, is very good with virtually no blemishes found. There are light circular marks where the faucet pieces were, and will be installed, thus they will be hidden from view. The rest is fine. Even the "soap dish:" indents to the left and right are nice. The majority of the time these spots are rough where the lye in the soap has slowly deteriorated the porcelain. In this case, these areas are smooth and shiny. The area running around the sides and front of the bowl are also in fine shape, with chips and only the finest of scratches present. The towel bars are good overall. The bars themselves are nearly blemish free, and one end cap has slight pitting to the chrome and the other has more. The sides of the bowl are fine with no damage or scratches, and the bottom of the bowl has a couple very thin hairline cracks that are hardly noticeable and were nearly too small for the camera to pick up. The largest of the chips measures approximately .02" and they are shallow. The razor thin cracks looked to be crazing at first until we got a close look. They have been there for decades, are typical of sinks this old that are constructed of cast iron, and do not affect the integrity of the sink. The bowl is nice and white from the top rim to the bottom. The outside of the sink; front and sides look excellent for the age with a glossy finish, no chips, cracks or crazing, and virtually no scratches. There are other tiny blemishes here and there that upon close examination were found to be part of the sink originally, produced by the manufacturing process. The underside of the sink is nearly spotless with no issues found to report. The porcelain is most likely in the same condition as when the sink was new. The legs have light to normal chrome pitting, and there is a small wall paint spot that was missed while cleaning them up. They look very good from a normal distance, and the tiny pitting spots can be seen up close. They are straight, and the height adjustment is smooth on both. The original wall bracket is in good condition, and although it did not make it into the pictures, it is included. less
