Circa Approx 1880s. This Smaller Size ( 6 inches Tall ) Candle Holder was Intended to be Used as a Night Time Bedroom " Chamberstick " It is Done in a Classic Rococo Revival Style. It is Completely Hand Made Out of Heavy Solid Bronze with Wonderfully Detailed Multi Color "Champleve" ( French Enamel ) Decorations. The Base is Mounted with a Piece of Genuine Marble or Possibly Onyx. It is in Very Nice All Original Condition - Displays Beautifully. It has no maker or other markings in the castings but based on my well over 40 years in the antique business I can confidently say that it was Made in France.
It Measures Overall Approx 6 inches Tall x 3 1/2 inches Long - Wide at Base.
