It was made mid 20th century in Italy. Great design, incorporating vivid and stark reddish brown wood base with parcel gilt / gold covered carvings. Carvings are superb quality, leaves and flowers on the sides, and an amazing scroll form cartouche pediment adorns the top, flanked with matching carvings on both sides for symmetry. Back of the piece has makers label and stamped "made in Italy). Please take another look at the carvings, they are gorgeous. Condition is very good, minor age / use if any (please see photos). The size of this baby is large 51.5" tall and 29" at widest point, while the viewing portion is 29" x 17.5". This is the style and color that goes with everything and anything, it will enhance any setting and be a topic of many conversations ! less
