A beautifully crafted confectionery bowl with an incised bamboo decoration. Floral shapes and motifs, particularly of the "Four Gracious Plants" are one of the traditional hallmarks of Korean celadon. In this case, the evergreen bamboo stands upright all year round, throughout the cold of winter--representing dignity and service to others and righteousness in a disorderly world.
