The stand structure is comprised of a sinuous gilt metal frame. Rope and tassel swags hang from the top shelf structure, while more simple rope swags hang below the bottom shelf. The bottom shelf sits above three curved feet. The smaller piece of marble is marked L I M Made in Italy.

We love this stand. The combination of angular shelves and almost feminine form gilt metal frame create an interesting tension that moves the piece from over the top to smart and sharp.
